Import Anything — bring in an existing roster
Already have a roster in a spreadsheet, a PDF, or even scrawled on a whiteboard? Import Anything reads it and proposes the staff, sites, and shifts so you don’t have to retype everything.
What you can drop in
- Spreadsheets (Excel/CSV) — the most common starting point.
- PDFs — exported rosters or printed schedules.
- Photos — a snap of a printed roster or a whiteboard.
How it works
- Open the Import tab and drop your file in.
- Roz reads it and proposes what it found — staff, sites, and shifts — as a set of suggestions.
- You review the proposal. Roz shows what it understood and where it’s unsure.
- Confirm to create the records, or adjust first. Nothing is created until you confirm.
Roz proposes, you confirm
Just like rostering, an import is a proposal you approve. This keeps you in control — messy source files won’t silently create duplicate staff or odd shifts.
If an import doesn’t look right
You can ask Roz about any import — “What did the last import create?” or “Why did that import fail?” — and it will explain. If a file just won’t read cleanly, see Getting help and we’ll take a look.
