Configuration
Workspace settings
Settings are the workspace-wide defaults everything else builds on. Get these right once and your rosters, dates, and costs all behave correctly.
What you can set
- Timezone — so shift times and “tomorrow” mean what you expect. This is important: a wrong timezone shifts every time on the roster.
- Currency — used wherever costs are shown.
- Business hours — your default operating hours, a starting point for new sites.
- Roles — the job types you roster (barista, nurse, supervisor), used on staff and shifts.
- Public holidays — so the roster knows which days are holidays in your region.
- Teams — groups of staff you roster together, handy for fan-out and bulk actions.
- Communication channels — how the workspace reaches staff.
Where to find it
Open the Settings tab. Changes apply across the workspace immediately.
Ask Roz
You can read and change many settings by asking — “What’s our timezone?” or “Set the currency to NZD.” See Asking Roz anything.
Tip
Set your timezone and public holidays before you build serious rosters. Both quietly affect every date and time, and fixing them later means re-checking schedules you thought were done.
