Rosters
The roster editor
The editor is where you shape a draft. It’s a grid: days across the top, your staff (or sites) down the side, with shifts laid out in between.
Adding and editing shifts
- Add a shift — click an empty slot and set the site, time, and role.
- Assign someone — pick a staff member; Roz shows who’s available and flags anyone who’d break a rule.
- Move a shift — drag it to another day or person.
- Edit times — click the shift and adjust start/end.
- Delete — remove a shift you don’t need.
Reading the grid
- Coverage indicators show whether each timeslot has enough people on. Under-covered slots are highlighted so gaps are obvious.
- Rule warnings appear on any shift that breaks a scheduling rule — for example, too little rest after the previous shift, or pushing someone over their weekly cap.
- Hours totals track how each person’s week is adding up against their contract.
Let Roz do the heavy lifting
You don’t have to place every shift by hand. Open the AI editor and describe what you want — “even out Saturday, no one over 38 hours.” See Editing with Roz.
Saving
Edits to a draft save as you go. Nothing is shared with staff until you publish. To review what changed over time, see Roster history.
